The countdown has started to Incommunities’ annual apprentice awards.
The awards, celebrating the housing group’s top talent, takes place on Thursday, March 4, at Incommunities’ Trust House in Bradford.
The organisation has 22 apprentices, from school-leavers to men and women looking to build new careers in traditional trades.
This year’s honours include a special trade award, outstanding new apprentice of the year award and a prize for the best training mentor. From these Incommunities’ overall winner will be chosen.
For the first time the awards will be voted for by managers, trades people and staff. There will be prizes for each category and the overall winner will be given an engraved shield.
The event has been sponsored by Broadford Plant & Tool Hire, City Electrical Factors, Howdens Joinery, Hill McGlynn Recruitment, Kalcrest Ltd Site Services, Magnet Trade, Newey & Eyre Electrical Distributors, Plumbing Trade Supplies and the Wolseley Group.
Delroy Beverley, director of Incommunities Property-solutions, said: “These awards recognise the commitment, skills, aptitude and teamwork shown by our apprentices in both their day-to-day work and as part of their college-based training.
“The introduction of a staff voting system has been a popular addition to this year’s apprentice awards.”
