A Bradford family seeking its missing cat is so desperate to be re-united with their fluffy pet that they consulted an animal psychic in America.
The psychic told them in a telephone consultation that Rocky was in a house with a red door and three steps leading to it. A man lives there with his wife, while there is a white van and a bicycle outside.
But more revealing was when the psychic, who did not know Rocky’s owners lived in Bradford, asked: “Is there a green dome near where you live?”
The astonished family live in Amberley Street and there is a mosque with a green dome nearby.
According to the psychic, Rocky can see a green dome from a window in the house where he is.
The family, who have had Rocky for three years, also brought in a national pet search company from Hereford to help them.
Sofia Jan said: “We really miss him. We’ve had him since he was a kitten. The other cats miss him too and aren’t eating. We desperately want him back.”
Pet detectives made the 180-mile trip earlier this week to scour the area looking for clues and encouraging the community around Amberley Street to help find Rocky and bring him home.
Former police officer Tom Watkins, who set up Animal Search UK, said: “We’re keeping our fingers crossed for a happy ending.
“Rocky’s a really attractive cat. Someone might have found him and thought he was a stray but he’s not. He’s very much loved and we need to get him back home where he belongs.
“He’s an indoor cat really and might be scared of the outdoors, so he could be hiding. I’m not sure how accurate the psychic’s information is.
“There’s probably a lot of red doors and white vans in Bradford but the green dome connection was a bit spooky.”
Miss Jan added: “We are keeping our hopes up. There’s been a couple of possible sightings but nothing definite yet.”
Rocky went missing from his home on January 17. Anyone with information can call 0800 320340 in confidence.
