Travelling across the globe to take part in a top TV show was a ‘Total Wipeout’ for fitness instructor Melanie Pollard.
The 26-year-old flew to Argentina to be a contestant on the popular Saturday night obstacle course show presented by Richard Hammond.
A week tomorrow, millions of BBC1 viewers will be able to watch her putting her strength, balance and bravery to the test.
Until then Melanie, who runs the gym at Monarch Mill in Clyde Street, Bingley, with husband Paul Sebo is staying tight-lipped about whether or not she was crowned champion and walked away with the £10,000 cash prize.
She said: “It was an absolutely awesome experience and I’d do it all over again. People ask if it hurts but at the time you’re so full of adrenalin that you don’t feel a thing. It’s only when you get into bed on a night that you think ow!”
