Detectives today made a fresh appeal for information to trace a Bradford businessman who has been missing for three years.

Father-of-three Sajid Saddique vanished without trace on February 14 – Valentine’s Day – 2007.

He left his home in Heaton to go to the bank and then a business meeting in Shipley, but never returned.

Mr Saddique’s gold Volkswagen Bora was found by police later the same day in the Asda supermarket car park in Manor Road, Shipley.

Detectives feared he might have been abducted from the car park.

Mr Saddique, who was 32 at the time, has not been in contact with his family or friends since.

Officers have continued inquiries to find Mr Saddique over the past 12 months, including lines indicating he might have left the country.

Detective Superintendent Andy Brennan, of West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, who has been leading the investigation, said: “It is now three years since Sajid went missing and the inquiry to find him remains active.

“Officers continue to maintain contact with his family to keep them updated about how the investigation is going.

“We would again appeal to anyone who has seen Sajid since his disappearance, or who does have information, to come forward.”

Mr Saddique ran a car dealership, Sandy Lane Motors, with his brothers. Following his disappearance, officers looked into his business dealings for any clues to why he had gone.

Officers also searched farmhouses in Clayton and Low Moor.

There were also possible reported sightings in Pakistan but none have been confirmed as being Mr Saddique.

The missing family man is described as Asian, 5ft 8ins tall and of medium build.

He was last seen wearing a white top, blue jeans and black Hugo Boss shoes or trainers.

Anyone who might have seen Mr Saddique on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 or his car at the Asda in Manor Road that day should contact police in Bradford on (01274) 376100.
