The Hull Truck Theatre is returning to Skipton’s Mart Theatre with its production of Me And Me Dad.
Described as “a story of friendship, fish pie and flick-to-kick football”, it’s the latest play from Hull Truck’s associate director Nick Lane and the sequel to critically-acclaimed play My Favourite Summer.
This was about Dave, who spent a summer trying to earn enough money to impress the girl of his dreams. It all went hilariously wrong – but what happened to him next?
In Me And Me Dad, the story picks up several years later, when Dave is an aspiring actor who has moved to London to follow his dream. But when his mum dies, he decides to move back home with his dad. Cue a bittersweet bonding process.
Me And Me Dad runs at The Mart, Skipton, on Thursday, February 25, at 7.30pm. For tickets, ring (01756) 791411 or visit themarttheatre.org.uk
