A church has come up with a novel way of maintaining its grounds.
St Wilfrid’s Church, at Calverley, has taken on goats and sheep to eat the grass and nibble growth off the saplings.
Member of St Wilfrid’s, David Badger, said: “With great help from volunteers and a small National Lottery grant we were able to bring it back into shape, but we also realised that the crucial thing was maintenance.
“The solution came from a kind farmer in Guiseley, Andrew Emsley.”
