A history walk took place today in Bradford to mark the rebranding of the district’s three tourist information centres in a bid to attract more local people.
The centres have been renamed as Visitor Information Centres and a free guided walk took place from the Centenary Square branch.
Yarnspinners Tours took people on a tour to discover what life was like in Victorian Bradford.
Further tours will take place tomorrow and on Sunday from the Ilkley and Haworth centres respectively.
Councillor Anne Hawkesworth, Bradford Council’s executive member for environment and culture, said: “Our centres are for everyone to use – local people as well as tourists and we hope that this name change reflects that.
“There is so much information in all our centres on things to see and do around the district as well as a large selection of gifts and books.”
