A 50-year-old man has been cleared of a charge of raping a teenager with a mental age of five.
A jury at Bradford Crown Court today acquitted David Bentley of one of the allegations that he raped the 16-year-old at her Bradford home.
The panel will resume its deliberations on Monday to reach a verdict on the second charge.
Bentley pleaded not guilty to raping the girl, when she was 15, on April 10 and 11 last year.
The teenager told the court the allegations were true.
Bentley, of Bath Street, Huddersfield, told the jury the teenager made up the accusations.
