Pupils at Lidget Green Primary School are gearing up for a litter pick as they become junior wardens for the day.
Neighbourhood wardens and police community support officers are to work with children from the school on local issues. They will be given a talk about littering and will then go out and take part in a litter pick.
Pupils will be taken to spot any problems in the area tomorrow. Then next week the junior wardens will visit a recycling centre.
Councillor Michael Johnson, chairman of Bradford South Area Committee, said: “This is a great way for young people to take pride in their local area and become more aware of the environment that they live in.”
