There was a major shock at Thornton, where Second Division Sandy Lane got home by four wickets.

The Booth Bridge Lane side, fresh from lowering Oakworth's colours the previous day batted first and made 200-6 in their overs with Kev Pollard scoring 49, Mark Proctor 66 and Jason Lockley 37 as Aktar took 3-28. The latter followed this with a superb innings of 74, which along with an unbeaten 7th wicket partnership of 52 by D Horne's 40no and S Brown 25no took the visitors to a stunning victory in the 42nd over.

Bingley Congs batters ran amok against 9 man Ingrow St John's at Beckfoot. Waj Mahmood made 115 (12 4s and 5 6s), Andy Jennings 110 (11 4s and 5 6s) and Neil Copping 51 (6 4s and 4 6s) as the homeside walloped 329-5 in their overs. The Saints managed 136-8 in reply with P Atkinson making 37 and Colin Bottomley 35 as Dan Gibson took 3-39. At one point they were 136-4 before a sudden collapse.

Glusburn were on their toes at home to Wilsden who beat Cowling in the last round. The visitors went first and made 141, being indebted to No 9 I Pierson who made 30 and No 10 Dale Wright who made 26. Mark Pickles was the best of six bowlers used, taking 3-17. Russell Newton 69no and Matt Lloyd 33 saw the homeside to a comfortable 6-wicket triumph in the 28th over.

Third Division J Nelson's transferred their game to Cure Hill and would be grateful for winning the toss and being able to bat first. They made a modest 87 as Jason Bilbrough took 6-26 in 9.4 overs. Tim Walsh 35no and Michael Scarborough 34no took the homesters to an 8-wicket victory in the 22nd over.

Denholme returned empty handed from Barrowford after being beaten by 7 wickets. The visitors scored 72 with S Rogers scoring 20 as Ajmal Choudrhy claimed 4-18. For the Bull Holme side Nick Burton scored 23 and Ronnie Misra 22no as Phil Poole took 2-25.

At Bradley, Cullingworth were the visitors and they restricted the homesters to 153-7 in their overs with Neil Andrews top scoring with 54. Aussie Matthew Pearson whilst not taking a wicket only conceded 17 runs in his allotted 12 overs. In reply openers Steve Welch 55 and Adie Powis 52 set up a comfortable 8 wicket win in the 29th over.

There was no play in the games involving Embsay and Sutton or Haworth and Ingrow. These games will be played next Sunday.
