Aussie recruit Ben Harris scored his first try as the Bulls overturned a four-point second-half deficit to maintain their unbeaten record against Huddersfield Giants with a 38-20 victory on Saturday night.

It was a far from vintage performance from coach Brian Noble's men but it did go some way to alleviating the pain of last week's record home loss to St Helens.

"It was an embarrassing performance last week and the players were determined to put that right. It was a great team effort," said Noble, who praised his players' quiet determination to get on with the job in the face of a severe public backlash. "It was a very quiet changing room for the right reasons because there were some very determined people.

"It was one of those nights when you knew things were going to go right. Even when we went behind I was pretty confident that we were going to have a big say in the game again."

A Robbie Paul double and tries by Rob Parker, Lee Radford, Karl Pryce and Stuart Reardon saw the Bulls emerge comfortable winners.

But it was the opening try by Harris, pictured left, after just three minutes that delighted Noble the most.

"I'm really pleased for Ben," he said.

"He hadn't played much in eight months and he jumped straight into the thick of a media frenzy after last week, but he has stayed on his feet and he is loving it. He is going to be a super player for us."

However, the news was not so good for Harris' flatmate, fellow Australian Brad Meyers, with a recurrence of a medial knee ligament strain that forced him off in the first half and is expected to keep him sidelined for at least four weeks.

Inspired by stand-off Chris Thorman, the Giants scored two tries in as many minutes to hit the front shortly after half-time but it was not enough to stop Jon Sharp's side slumping to a third consecutive defeat.

"We played really well for large parts but it wasn't enough to put them away," lamented Sharp.

"Bradford were dogged and probably dealt with a little bit of adversity better than we did."
