Leading waterproofing specialists BriggsAmasco have started work on two contracts with a combined value of £2.3m at schools in Bradford under the Building Schools For The Future initiative.
Work has begun at Beckfoot and Hazelbeck School, Bingley, and is due to start soon at Hanson School in Bradford. The contracts are part of the the second phase of the city’s BSF programme, BriggsAmasco will provide full roofing packages to the consortium Educo, a joint venture including Costain and Ferrovial Agroman. Skilled teams from BriggsAmasco’s Leeds branch will carry out all waterproofing works at both schools using a range of systems including galvanised metal decking and insulation. A total of 13,000 sq m of new roof will be installed at the two schools, encompassing three new buildings.
BriggsAmasco has built a strong portfolio of successful projects within the education sector, particularly under Building Schools For The Future. The company has been repeatedly selected as preferred roofing contractor due to the size of its national operation, experience across a range of diverse roofing application and the skills and ability of its directly-employed workforce.
Bradford is one of the Government’s pathfinder projects under Building Schools For The Future.
