Children across Central and Eastern Europe will have a brighter Christmas thanks to the efforts of pupils from Keelham Primary School.
A representative from Bradford West Rotary Club visited a school assembly to talk about the Rotary Shoebox Scheme, which sends out boxes of toys, toiletries and household goods to those in need.
It is the second year running the school has been involved in the scheme, and this year pupils filled almost 100 boxes, which will now be distributed by Rotary.
Karen Moore, parental involvement worker at the school in Well Heads, Keelham, said: “The children learned about those less fortunate than themselves and were enthusiastic to help.
“Some even came back and asked for a second box to fill.”
