Police conducting a major fraud investigation into a company alleged to have offered bogus citizenship qualifications have arrested a Bradford man.
The 31-year-old, of Byron Street, Barkerend, was questioned and later bailed pending further police inquiries.
The West Yorkshire Police investigation relates to a company called Training Direct, which ran English language courses for immigrants.
It was claimed by Training Direct that the courses provided the required qualification to apply for British citizenship of Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK.
The company was believed to have been charging about £350 a time for the one-day courses.
It is believed hundreds of people applying to the Home Office for citizenship were affected by the alleged scam.
Training Direct was based in a rented office in Leeds and claimed to be linked to another company in Bradford.
