A pair of robbers attacked a 71-year-old woman – cutting a bracelet from her wrist – as she sat at a bus stop in Bradford, police revealed today.
One of the men put his hand over the woman’s mouth, knocking out a tooth, while the other used a cutting tool to remove the bracelet during the attack in Otley Road, Barkerend, Bradford, at 1.40pm on Saturday.
They fled down Otley Road and the woman got on a bus.
She suffered cuts to her arm.
Detectives are now hunting the attackers, who were both wearing hooded tops.
One was described as Asian. The description of the other was not known, said police.
Officers are particularly keen to trace a man who tried to intervene while the robbery was taking place.
Anyone with information should contact Bradford South CID on 0845 6060606.
