A veterinary charity volunteer has been nominated for a national award.
Julie Gutsell, 39, of Shipley, has made the shortlist for the PDSA Volunteer of the Year Award.
For more than three years, she has given up at least two days a week to help out at the Shipley PDSA shop, in Market Square.
Graeme Allen, area retail manager, nominated her for the award. He said: “I’m so pleased Julie has been short-listed. She’s a remarkable woman who really does go that extra mile.
“Customers always comment on how pleasant Julie is, which makes them feel welcome and helps raise more funds.”
It is the sixth year of the PDSA Volunteer of the Year Awards. For more information about becoming a volunteer, visit pdsa.org.uk/volunteering.
