A 25-year-old man who smashed windows at his former girlfriend’s family home was today ordered to attend a domestic abuse programme.

Michael Rawson, of Ackworth Street, West Bowling, Bradford, admitted criminal damage.

Bradford magistrates heard today that Rawson was cautioned the week before the offence for causing damage at Nicola Lamb’s home.

Prosecutor Marina Hunter-Gray said Rawson followed Miss Lamb to her mother’s home in Summerlands Grove, West Bowling, on October 14.

He shouted threats outside and was seen with a brick or kerb stone in his hand. Rawson caused £350 damage to two windows and a door, the court heard.

Police found him staggering about bleeding from his knuckles. He told officers he threw pebbles at the door.

Rawson, who was not legally represented, said in court he had been angry.

He was sentenced to a supervision order for 24 months, must attend the integrated domestic abuse programme and pay £350 compensation.
