Police are widening their search for a pervert who has been exposing himself to elderly women in Bradford.
The “flasher” has struck five times in the Bradford Moor area since October and detectives now believe he may be travelling from outside Bradford to commit the crimes.
The suspect, who has distinctive protruding teeth, has been targeting women in the morning.
He has been seen acting suspiciously in the Silverhill Road area, close to Bradford Moor Park, on a number of occasions.
Detective Inspector Gerry O’Shea, of Bradford South CID, who is leading the hunt for the pervert, said: “This man has been seen mainly between 8am and 11am.
“His behaviour is quite bizarre and irrational. He has not touched anyone, but we regard him as being potentially dangerous, especially to elderly women.”
Police last week released two photos of the suspect but have had a disappointing response and are now re-appealing for information.
Councillor Ghazanfer Khaliq (lab, Bradford Moor) has urged people to take extra care when walking in the area and said any sightings of him should be reported to police immediately.
Det Insp O’Shea appealed to anyone who recognised the suspect, particularly local residents, care homes or doctors’ surgeries, to get in touch.
The man is described as Asian or of mixed race, in his 20s, clean-shaven but with several days’ stubble and with large ‘goofy’ teeth. He has been seen wearing a dark anorak, dark tracksuit bottoms with white stripes down the legs, a dark wool beanie hat and a polo shirt with thin, light-coloured horizontal hoops.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Constable Teresa Milburn, of Bradford South CID, on 0845 6060606, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
