An award-winning Asian theatre company in Bradford is looking to recruit new actors in January.
Madani Younis’s Freedom Studios, based in Little Germany, will be holding interviews for a new company of actors.
He said: “Trainee actors will be offered hands-on industry advice, and the experience of working within a theatre company that has carved out its place within the sector based on high-quality work using regional artists.
“I am excited by the possibilities of a new company of young regional actors. We are ready and waiting to meet a new generation who, in time, I hope will come to represent the very best in Yorkshire.”
Freedom Studios used to be known as the Asian Theatre School, which was set up ten years ago to address the imbalance of Asian performers in the dramatic arts.
Madani Younis was the South Bank Show award winner for 2006.
Anyone interested is asked to download an application pack on freedomstudios.co.uk. The deadline for doing this is January 15. Interviews are planned for January 19 and 20.
