The long-awaited reopening of Skipton’s revamped bus station has been put back until the New Year.
North Yorkshire County Council announced earlier this month that the site would be open in time for Christmas.
But now it has decided that, in order to avoid confusion during the busy festive period, the opening should be delayed until Monday, January 5.
Although the station will not be open for bus passengers, the car park, taxi rank and toilets will be available for use.
The £1.2 million revamp has been a joint project with Craven District Council, which owns the site.
The bus station will feature eight stands, improved access, better waiting facilities and new toilets.
