Heavy fines, security cameras and restricting the sale of spray paint are some of the solutions to the scourge of graffiti proposed by Oakworth Primary School pupils.
Year Six children have composed letters, as part of a literacy exercise, attacking the amount of graffiti in their village. They said the park’s youth shelter was a focal point for vandals.
John Scholefield, Bradford Council’s principal parks and landscape manager, said: “The youth shelter is a target for graffiti.
“However, we do remove anything offensive that is written in this area.
“We work with the Friends of Oakworth Park who report any problems.”
