The ghost of Christmas past would have felt at ease at Bolling Hall as the famous old home celebrated with a medieval festive pageant.
Families were entertained by Leeds Waits, a troupe of wandering minstrels in historical dress, and the Bradford Festival Choral society playing medieval music.
Families sampled traditional medieval food and were taught how to make sugar mice and herb bags at yesterday’s event.
A Bolling Hall spokesman said: “It’s a day of revolving activities with all sorts going on and lots of fun workshops.
“All throughout the day there is something for everyone and it’s all going on all throughout the day. This is a really good family day out.”
