A variety of sport and fun activities is being offered by Bradford Council for young people over Christmas.
Cartwright Hall in Lister Park will be hosting family textile workshops from tomorrow to Sunday, December 28, excluding Bank Holidays, from 1pm to 4pm. People will be able to take part in individual and group artwork to create a textile masterpiece using wax and ink.
A street dance workshop will also be held at the museum on Tuesday, December 30, and Wednesday, December 31, 1pm to 3pm, costing £3.
The Zara Sports Centre, at Belle Vue Girls School campus in Thorn Lane, Heaton, Bradford, will host a football-skills session for six to 13-year-olds daily from Saturday, Dec-ember 27, to Wednesday, December 31, 10am to noon.
Cricket, football and basketball sessions will also be held at the centre on the same days from 2pm to 5pm, with another basketball workshop on Monday, December 27, 10am to noon. All sessions cost £3 each, or £10 for five.
The Council’s youth service, Cop Shop, in Toller Lane, is organising several trips including tenpin bowling, London and a tour of Wembley Stadium. Call (01274) 433550.
