Bradford law firm Gordons has advised a monitoring systems company on its latest acquisition and on the issuing of shares to raise capital for future growth.
Peter Barton, a partner in Gordons corporate department, led negotiations on behalf of Stockton-on-Tees based Brulines on its acquisition of vending systems firm Vianet.
It was the fourth acquisition by Brulines, which provides state-of-the-art monitoring systems to 22,500 pubs across the UK, since it listed on the Alternative Investment Market in 2006.
He also advised Brulines on the placing of four million shares with institutional investors to raise £4.7m to strengthen the firm’s balance sheet and provide funds for future acquisitions.
Mr Barton was assisted by senior corporate solicitor Jonathan Asquez. Peter Barton said: “We are very pleased to have been able to advise Brulines on another acquisition, aiding its growth strategy and the placing of shares with institutional investors endorses their support for this growing group.”
