Entrepreneur Bob Murray, co-founder of the former Bradford kitchen and bathroom firm Spring Ram, has led a £31m management buy-out of Omega International Group.
Omega makes the Sheraton, Omega and Chippendale kitchen ranges. Mr Murray, who is a former chairman of Sunderland football club, launched Birstall-based Spring Ram in 1979 with co-founder Bill Rooney.
The company became one of the biggest names in the industry with factories in at the Euroway Estate in Bradford and in Calderdale employing hundreds locally before hitting hard times.
The firm was eventually taken over by US-based Jacuzzi Group and the name disappeared.
Mr Murray led the management team of Francis Galvin, chief executive, Newton Winfield and Peter Walker in taking South Yorkshire-based Omega back into private hands again.
