A 28-year-old Menston man has been arrested in connection with an assault in Otley.
He was arrested after police found a 22-year-old man with serious facial injuries in a yard behind Korks Wine Bar, in Bondsgate, shortly before 2am on Saturday.
The injured man, of Tinshill, Leeds, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary and was later transferred to St James’s Hospital where he is still being treated. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The suspect has been bailed pending further police inquiries.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the venue at the time and who witnessed the assault to contact them immediately.
