Members of Opera North will be bringing their talents to Yeadon, with a carol concert at The White Swan.
Pub manager Michael Stainthorpe said several singers from the prestigious company would be performing Carols by Candlelight – with the kind permission of Opera North.
It is hoped to stage a further event at the pub in February when singers from the company will perform exerts from the operas.
Mr Stainthorpe said: “A few people from Opera North are coming to do a carol service. It should be a good evening.”
The event, at 7.30pm on Wednesday, is free, and traditional fare such as mince pies, hot food and mulled wine will be on offer.
It is hoped it will be the start of a long list of new live music events at the pub over the festive season.
A spokesman said: “We plan to end the year as we mean to go on in 2009 with a diverse mix of music and entertainment.”
