It was no ordinary lunchtime for the children at Wilsden Primary School when they found themselves sitting next to the law.
The High Sheriff of West Yorkshire, Roger Bowers, was invited to meet youngsters at the school’s captain table.
The visit was pupils’ reward for their good behaviour, with a member of each year group represented at the special table on the school stage.
They heard all about the High Sheriff’s role and had the chance to ask their own questions.
Previous guests have included the Lord Mayor of Bradford, the Vice-Chancellor of Bradford University Professor Chris Taylor and doctors and nurses.
Pupils are pictured with Mr Bowers during the visit.
