A multi-cultural Christmas tree was unveiled at a special event outside Bradford City Hall today.
The tree was erected by a group of local businessmen and professionals, known as Leaders of Tomorrow, who share the dream of a progressive city on every front.
Guests representing different faiths in the city, sponsors of the event, business aid agencies, charitable organisations, representatives of Bradford University, Bradford College and schools displayed ornaments and messages on the tree as a gesture of goodwill.
The tree was conceived by Bradford retailer Bombay Stores last year as part of its 40th anniversary celebrations.
This year, the Lord Mayor, Councillor Howard Middleton, Tony Reeves, chief executive of Bradford Council, and Professor Mark Cleary, vice-chancellor of the university, were among the speakers.
