A fuel spillage forced police to close Canal Road in Bradford last night.
Traffic travelling both ways had to be diverted at about 8.20pm following a three-vehicle collision.
Firefighters washed away 200 litres of leaked fuel using high-power hoses after the fuel tank of a lorry was punctured in the accident.
The occupants of the lorry, a blue Vauxhall Astra and a grey Fiat Punto did not suffer any injuries in the accident and the road was reopened shortly before 10pm.
