These dinky donkeys have arrived at Esholt Farm just in time for the Nativity period.

The pair might not have followed a star all the way to farmer James Wainhouse’s door but they did make the trip up North all the way from Devon.

The ten-month-old donkeys who are just over two feet tall are now making themselves at home in the stables at St Leonard’s Farm at Shipley.

And the pair, who will grow no higher than 29 inches, are about to star in the farm’s first-ever live Nativity ‘show’.

The Nativity will be a ticket-only event on Saturday, December 6, and Sunday, December 7.

Visitors will be able to look round the farm, see Santa and take in the Nativity scene featuring other four-legged and feathered characters.

Tickets are £9.95 for adults and £11.95 for children which includes a present from Santa and festive food.

James said: “Because they are special days, people will need to book places first.

“We won’t be able to let in anyone who calls in by chance. Seeing our Nativity and Santa will be just magic.”
