Armed robbers stole cash after threatening staff at a Bradford bingo hall.
Three masked men, carrying machetes and knives, burst in to the Gala bingo hall in Tong Street at 7.15pm on Tuesday, during a bingo session.
They threatened staff and stole an amount of cash before fleeing the premises.
No-one was injured in the raid – the third at the premises in two years – but customers and staff were shocked and frightened.
Police patrols have been increased in the area to provide reassurance to customers and residents.
Detective Inspector Gerry O’Shea said: “There were a lot of people in the hall at the time and I would appeal to anyone who saw anything or has any information about the robbery to contact Bradford South CID on 0845 6060606.”
A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and tonight remained in custody.
