Chris Wilder has left Halifax to become assistant manager at Bury.
Wilder will become number two to Alan Knill at Gigg Lane after quitting the turmoil surrounding the Shay.
The former City full back had been in charge of Halifax for six years, steering them to the Conference play-off final in 2006 when they were beaten by Hereford.
Wilder’s departure came as no surprise with the club facing an uncertain future after going into administration. They are likely to start next season in the Unibond League North.
