Fire broke out at a town centre pub early yesterday morning.
The blaze started in the domestic kitchen of the Bay Horse, in Market Street, Otley.
Firefighters were called to the scene at about 1am.
The blaze was brought under control, but not before it had caused serious smoke damage to the kitchen and other parts of the living accommodation.
Firemen from Rawdon and Otley attended the incident and used four breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet.
The fire service said the cause of the blaze was still under investigation.
“The premises were badly smoke-logged,” said a fire service spokesman.
Nobody from the pub wished to comment on the incident this morning.
