A jury at Bradford Crown Court today found 25-year-old John Kinsella guilty of murdering Ross Keenan at his home in Holme Top Lane, Little Horton, last December.
The jury of seven men and five women convicted Kinsella, of Holme Top Lane, by a majority of ten to two after considering its verdict for more than 11 hours.
Kinsella will be sentenced in the next two or three weeks with his brother, David, known as Micky, who had pleaded guilty to the murder. He was remanded in custody by the Recorder of Bradford, Judge Stephen Gullick, who told him the sentence would be life imprisonment, but he would have to determine the minimum term he would have to serve.
Mr Keenan, 39, who was in a relationship with the Kinsellas' sister, Kelly, died from multiple injuries after he was attacked with weapons including a meat cleaver and a knife.
John Kinsella claimed he was not involved in the murder and said he found his 23-year-old brother fighting with Mr Keenan when he went into the house.
