Five Bradford companies are on the short-list for the second annual Biz Awards.

The winners will be announced at a dinner attended by 400 people tomorrow.

One of the finalists, Zouk Tea Bar and Grill, won the accolade for fastest growing business at the inaugural awards last year.

This time the business is in line for the Enterprise Through Innovation Award.

Other finalists include Palm Cove Society, a social enterprise which provides temporary supported housing for refugees, The Holme Christian Community, which provides a range of training, educational and employment services, Aqua Consultants Limited and Sterling Service Centre, an expanding vehicle service and MOT testing centre in Bingley.

Also short-listed is a Huddersfield-based accounting software firm. Liquid Assets, whose founders come from the Spen Valley area and met up through the Scouts. The Biz Awards categories cover best new start, enterprise in the community, fastest growing business and innovation which carry a cash prize of £500 each.

The overall business of the year award is selected from the category finalists. The winner receives £2,500 and support from a specialist Business Link advisor.
