Our Yorkshire Farm star Reuben Owen is set to feature in his own festive special this week, airing on Channel 5.

Reuben Owen: Christmas in the Dales will be a one-off episode, also starring his siblings Sid and Miles, along with his best friend Tommy.

Fans will be able to watch along as the son of the Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen and her ex-husband Clive plans a festive party for friends and family at their local to thank them for all their help with his heavy plant machinery business.

What is Reuben Owen: Christmas in the Dales about?

The programme synopsis on Radio Times continues: “Before the planning begins, he and his good friend Tommy ride Reuben's early Christmas present, a snowmobile, through a sheep-filled field.

“Plus, the pair head to do some end of year work in a mining town in Sweden's arctic circle.”

Reuben Owen: Christmas in the Dales marks the first time he has appeared on a TV show since his family’s first More4 series of Our Farm Next Door: Amanda Clive and Kids ended a few weeks ago.

Amanda and Clive along with their nine children recently began renovating a derelict farmhouse in the Yorkshire Dales.

Recently speaking on BBC Breakfast about what it's like to farm in 2024, Amanda shared: “It’s difficult times, you don’t know what the future holds for you.

“You’re always mindful, particularly when you’re farming the land and very much in touch with the historical aspect. You’re very mindful of the passing of time.

“Although we’re looking backwards, at what was (on the show), we’re also looking forward, and it’s so interesting to find out and see that a lot of the ideas that we are championing now about the environment, sustainability and our sort of more holistic way of farming – it’s just a rebrand. We were doing it a long time before.”
