Two Bupa care homes have asked people to send in Christmas cards so that the homes' residents can enjoy them.
A spokesperson for Cottingley Hall and Crossley House care homes, in Bingley and Bradford respectively, said that any cards received will be placed around the homes "for everyone to read and enjoy".
Carol Cochrane, regional director at Bupa, said: "Sending and receiving cards is a tradition that many of our residents love, so this Christmas we wanted to make them feel extra special by showering them in cards from people from all walks of life.
"We know that receiving a card full of festive well wishes would really mean the world to our residents this year.
"It’s a small gesture of kindness which would have such a positive impact, providing residents with a great sense of warmth, support, and togetherness – the ultimate definition of festive cheer!"
Anyone wishing to send a Christmas card to one of the two homes should post to Cottingley Hall Care Home, Bradford Road, Bingley, BD16 1TX; or Crossley House Care Home, 885 Thornton Road, Bradford, BD8 0HH.
Health insurance accounts for the majority of Bupa's business, according to a spokesperson.
