MORE than 40 fixed penalty notices (FPN) have been issued to motorists in Bradford city centre after "repeated complaints" from businesses and members of the public.
Officers carried out an operation on Ebenezer Street, George Street and Vicar Lane on Friday and Saturday.
They said a total of 42 FPNs were issued for parking and obstruction offences.
A number of other drivers were spoken to about their parking.
Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Following repeated complaints from businesses and members of the public, PCSOs from Bradford City Neighbourhood Policing Team worked alongside Bradford Council parking enforcement to conduct an operation on Ebenezer Street, George Street and Vicar Lane in Bradford city centre.
A West"A total of four FPNs for parking and obstruction offences were issued across the two-day operation on Friday and Saturday, and a number of other drivers were spoken to in relation to their parking.
"Officers plan to conduct further operations at the location in the future and would like to take this opportunity to remind members of the public that Ebenezer Street is now a two-way street and forms a key part of the city centres bus routes, and therefore it is important that it is kept clear for this purpose."
