SIGNAGE that has appeared on a Bradford road is not legal, Bradford Council has confirmed.
The 'pops and bangs' sign can be seen on Oak Lane in Manningham.
It includes an image that appears to portray a noisy vehicle and a separate sign underneath which says 'pops and bangs'.
The pictured sign is at the junction of Oak Lane and Dartmouth Terrace.
The Telegraph & Argus asked Bradford Council if this was official signage related to the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) regarding the anti-social use of vehicles in the city.
Breaches of the PSPO, for example, aggressive driving, excessive noise, and harassment of individuals from vehicles can result in fixed penalties and prosecution before the magistrates' court and a fine of up to £2,000.
In response, a Bradford Council spokesperson told the T&A: "The road signs on Oak Lane aren't legal and will be removed ASAP."
