A West Yorkshire man has shaved his head to raise money for a hospice that cared for his father.
Harry Mackley, 23, from Oxenhope, decided to "brave the shave" in memory of his father, Robert, who died from cancer in March this year at the age of 59.
The challenge was not only a tribute to his father but also a fundraiser for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, where Robert received care during his final days.
On November 12, Harry went from a full head of hair to a bald look, raising £1,700 for the hospice and surpassing his fundraising target.
He said: "I took it all in my stride, although I do keep forgetting my hair has gone until I see my reflection."
He added: "Shaving my head is my way of honouring him and the hospice that helped us during such a difficult time.
"My dad would probably think I’m a little crazy for going bald, but I know he’d be proud that I’m doing something good for others."
Harry hopes his efforts will inspire others to support Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice too.
