The Human LeagueThe Human League (Image: Perou) Roger Daltrey’s Halifax date will follow a sold-out run of shows across the UK and will see him perform acoustic and semi-acoustic takes on gems from The Who as well as his solo back catalogue.

The show will also feature his now-famous Q&A sessions, in which he opens up to the fans who have been with him throughout the decades.

The Human League – led by Philip Oakey, Joanne Catherall and Susan Ann Sulley – have shaped the sound of electronic pop for more than four decades.

Rock legend Roger DaltreyRock legend Roger Daltrey (Image: PR) Their influence on both music and culture remains undeniable, with timeless anthems like Don't You Want Me, (Keep Feeling) Fascination, Love Action (I Believe in Love) and Mirror Man continuing to resonate with fans worldwide.

It has been 22 years since Busted first bounced into the charts with the irrepressible pop-punk energy of their debut single What I Go To School For.

It kick-started a succession of hits for the trio, including the number one smashes Crashed The Wedding, Who’s David, Thunderbirds Are Go, You Said No and the Top 3 singles Year 3000, Air Hostess and Sleeping With The Light On.

Il DivoIl Divo (Image: PR) Since 2004, Il Divo have shown the world their downright athletic displays of vocal prowess and unforgettable gigs.

They have sold 30 million-plus records worldwide, scored 50 Number One hits, and earned 160 Gold and Platinum records across 35 countries. Between selling out tours on multiple continents, they’ve performed everywhere from the Summer Olympics and FIFA World Cup to the Diamond Jubilee at Windsor.

Nicky Chance-Tompson MBE DL, CEO of The Piece Hall Charitable Trust, said: "Incredible shows are heading our way.

“The influence of 80s icons and Yorkshire legends The Human League can’t be overstated - pop music simply wouldn’t sound the way it does today without them. And with Blancmange and Tom Bailey – that is one mega line up!

“The Who’s sound is also truly era-defining and hearing tracks from their extensive back catalogue along with Roger’s solo work too is going to be something very special indeed. Our stunning courtyard really is the perfect place to welcome both pop and rock royalty."

She added: "I cannot wait to welcome Il Divo. Our stunning courtyard, those beautiful views and their astonishing voices – what a combination. A spectacular show awaits us.

“And what can I say about Busted, I think they’ve been requested more than any other act this year. An absolutely huge show. Get ready to bounce Halifax!”

Roger Daltrey

Daltrey will be accompanied by his sensational nine-piece band – featuring regular The Who collaborator Simon Townshend (guitar/ vocals) alongside John Hogg (bass), Doug Boyle (guitar), Steve Weston (harmonica), Jody Linscott (percussion), Billy Nicholls (BV), Katie Jacoby (violin), Geraint Watkins (keyboard), Scott Devours (drums).

With The Who, Roger Daltrey was the voice of timeless classics like Substitute, Who Are You, Won’t Get Fooled Again, Pinball Wizard, The Kids Are Alright and Baba O’Riley.

His solo career began in 1973 with the single Giving It All Away which reached Number 5 in the UK charts. His most recent album was 2018’s acclaimed Top 10 hit As Long As I Have You.

The Human League

With nine studio albums, including the multi-platinum DARE, The Human League has sold more than 25 million records worldwide. Their legacy is further solidified by numerous accolades, including a BRIT Award for Best British Breakthrough Act in 1982 and three Ivor Novello Award nominations.

With a legacy approaching 50 years, fans in Halifax can expect a night of timeless classics and the very best of 80s pop.

The Thompson Twins’ lead singer Tom Bailey and Blancmange will be supporting The Human League.

A key figure in the 1980s music scene, Tom Bailey helped create Thompson Twins’ infectious blend of pop and electronic sound and played a big part in their success with hits like Hold Me Now and Doctor! Doctor!

Electronic pop band Blancmange are known for their bold and experimental music.

Rising from the post-punk era, they combined unique sounds and creative techniques, using tape loops and even kitchen utensils. Breakout hits like Living on the Ceiling, Blind Vision and Don’t Tell Me helped solidify their place in the world of synth-pop.

Busted

Busted will be joined by specials guests, North West indie rockers Muddy Elephant and rising indie stars Soap.

Busted’s many successes spread far beyond the singles charts. Three of their four studio albums also peaked at Number 2, with 4.5 million sales leading to eight Platinum certifications as well as a total of 25 weeks in the Top 10 and two 5 x Platinum selling albums.

Il Divo

Il Divo will welcome English soprano Laura Wright as their very special guest.

Life changed when Il Divo co-founder Carlos Marín died during the COVID-19 pandemic. The remaining bandmates – Urs Bühler, Sébastien Izambard and David Miller –  paid homage to their fallen brother with the Greatest Hits Tour in 2022.

Steven LaBrie stepped in as a guest baritone on the road only for the band to welcome him as a full member a year later.

Earlier this year the iconic quartet unveiled their very first independent album XX – the group’s 20th anniversary album.
