THE "lack of a rear registration plate" on a car drew police's attention to it before it was seized.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Steerside Enforcement Team - the force's dedicated initiative for tackling anti-social and dangerous driving - stopped a grey Mazda in Saltaire Road, Shipley, Bradford on Wednesday night.
A spokesperson for the unit said they were alerted by the fact the vehicle did not have a number plate on the back of it.
Further checks confirmed there was no insurance cover either.
The car was seized as a result and the driver reported for the offences.
A full statement from the team said: "A lack of a rear registration plate drew our attention to this Mazda UK on Saltaire Road West Yorkshire Police - Shipley last night.
