Two people have appeared in court charged with the murder of a man in York.
Michael Mulvana and Jobie Tyers appeared at York Magistrates' Court today (November 28) charged with the murder of Bradford man Indrit Mustafaj, 26, who died in the Haxby Road area on Saturday night (November 23).
Tyers, represented by solicitor Shazad Dad, and Mulvana, represented by solicitor Liam Jackson, made no application for bail as it is not within the power of magistrates to grant bail in cases where defendants are accused of murder.
The two accused appeared in the dock, both wearing grey tracksuit tops, to confirm their names and addresses.
Mulvana, 31, gave his address as Bright Street, in the Leeman Road area. Tyers, 27, gave his residence to be in Gate Helmsley.
The pair are also both charged with two counts of wounding with intent.
They will next appear before Leeds Crown Court on Monday, December 2.
