An exhibition showcasing the history of Bradford's iconic buildings will launch at Bradford Industrial Museum tomorrow (November 28).
The exhibition, called 'We Built this City,' commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Bradford Society of Architects and Surveyors, and will be on view to the public until March of 2025.
A celebration dinner at the Industrial Museum, featuring a pop-up exhibition with more information about the Society's history, will also take place tomorrow.
'We Built this City,' co-curated by Bradford Museums and the Society, will include information about key people behind the planning, designing, and building of Bradford from 1874 to the present day.
The Society's 18 co-founders included Henry Lockwood and William Mawson, who were the architects for Bradford Town Hall, the Wool Exchange, and Saltaire.
According to a spokesperson, "current members are dedicated to supporting a high-quality build environment in Bradford and are actively involved in designing and delivering developments that make a positive impact on local areas and communities."
As well as 'We Built this City,' the smaller pop-up exhibition will be travelling to venues across Yorkshire over the next 6 months.
