LOCAL businesses can apply to run a cafe in a landmark Bradford city centre building.
Kala Sangam will re-open in the summer of 2025 after a multi-million-pound capital redevelopment which will see it rebranded as Bradford Arts Centre.
The centre is now inviting applications from local, reputed, and experienced cafe operators/restaurateurs to manage and run the cafe within the flagship arts venue.
The acclaimed Rooftop Cafe was once based in the arts centre – overlooking Bradford Cathedral.
A spokesman for Kala Sangam said: “By providing an inviting cafe with superb food and drinks, and excellent service, we want to add to the enjoyment of visitors to the arts centre - it is a key element in delivering a quality visitor experience.
“We anticipate a good cafe operator will also establish the cafe as a destination in its own right – drawing visitors in to experience delicious food in this vibrant and welcoming environment.
“In addition to running the cafe, there is the option for the operator to provide corporate catering services for commercial hires of the venue, including conferences, workshops and training events."
Expressions of interest should be submitted in writing to steveoconnell@kalasangam.org by 9am on January 6.
