A COFFEE shop in the Bradford district which was inspired by Scotland's bothies is hoping to scoop an award.
The Telegraph & Argus launched its Best Coffee Shop 2024 contest recently.
Readers were asked to share their favourite venues and the nominations have now been whittled down to the final 10.
We are aiming to profile each of the finalists.
Today we are shining a light on The Bothy, on Shipley's Otley Road, which opened nearly four years ago.
The Bothy was years in the making for Tom Chilton, a coffee lover and cafe connoisseur who was inspired by Scotland's bothies - free shelters in the mountains where people can stay.
The Bothy is also an ode to his family in Scotland and fond memories growing up and playing in these little homes with his cousins.
Tom said: "It was always my passion to open my own coffee shop after working in the hospitality industry for many years.
"The Bothy was opened in December 2020 in the most challenging times of the Covid pandemic.
"Inspired by Scotland's bothies, I wanted to bring Shipley its own friendly and inviting bothy - a place to go and relax and chill."
The Bothy's website states: "We provide a cosy retreat where you can unwind with great coffee, company and our famous Bothy Brownies.
"We offer a range of specialty coffees, teas, hot chocolates, breakfast items and light lunches made from the finest locally-sourced ingredients.
"As a family-run independent business, we take pride in being coffee connoisseurs and craft bakers.
"We're committed to using only the freshest ingredients and cooking everything from scratch to ensure that you have an exceptional time with us."
Tom told of his joy at The Bothy making it into the final 10 of the T&A's Best Coffee Shop 2024 contest.
"We feel very privileged," he said.
"We work hard so getting this recognition is so special."
He added: "Our regular customers are extremely supportive - and we always look forward to welcoming new customers to the Bothy experience."
Don't miss out on your chance to vote for the coffee shop you think should win as part of our competition.
All you need to do is fill out the voting form, which can be found in the T&A.
The voting coupon will run in the newspaper until December 7.
