A COFFEE shop that "truly serves and connects the community" is in the running for an award.
The Telegraph & Argus recently launched its Best Coffee Shop 2024 competition.
Readers were asked to share their favourite venues and the nominations have now been whittled down to 10.
We are aiming to profile each of the finalists.
Today we are highlighting Skylight Lounge on Norman Lane, at Five Lane Ends.

The shop has only been open since June but is already proving to be popular with many customers.
Fallaq said: "I started Skylight Lounge with the vision of creating a versatile and welcoming space that blends specialty coffee, creativity, and community.
"I meticulously designed the place so it is comfortable and ready to be used in a variety of ways.
"Skylight Lounge is unique because it's more than just a coffee shop - it's a community hub.
"I felt like Bradford was missing a place like this and wanted to bring that to our community."
Fallaq said Skylight Lounge has books and games, and also hosts mother and baby meet-ups, open mic nights, co-working spaces, networking events, and workshops.
It also features a rotating art gallery wall, giving a platform for local artists to showcase their work.
Fallaq added: "Our customers are so diverse.
"We've fostered a strong sense of community by engaging with them personally, providing spaces where they can feel comfortable and inspired - while serving high-quality coffee.
"They know Skylight Lounge is a space where they belong."
