FOUR people have been arrested as part of a murder investigation after a man from Bradford died.
Detectives investigating the death of a man in York this weekend have arrested four people in total - two of them on suspicion of murder.
North Yorkshire Police was called to a house in the Haxby Road area at 7.20pm on Saturday.
Two men and a woman were injured in an incident at the home.
One of the men, who was in his 20s and from the Bradford area, died in hospital.
The other man was taken to hospital and remains in a stable condition.
Detectives from North Yorkshire Police’s Major Incident Team launched an investigation immediately, which has resulted in four arrests.
A man in his 20s and a man in his 30s, both from the York area, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
A woman in her 30s and a man in his 60s have also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
They have all been taken into custody where they remain today as the investigation proceeds.
There has been a large police presence in community with some surrounding roads initially cordoned off.
A scene guard at the address in Vyner Street remains in place today and there will continue to be a significant police presence in the area.
Detective Superintendent Fran Naughton, who is leading the investigation, said: “This has been a fast-moving investigation with teams working around the clock, resulting in four arrests within just over 24 hours of the incident taking place.
“We know how worrying incidents like this can be for people who live and work in the area and as part of our response we have extra patrols in the area to support the community.
