PARTS of the Bradford district are covered by an amber weather warning for snow.
A yellow warning for rain and snow covers the whole district, while the amber warning covers a significant part of Bingley and some of the surrounding areas, as well as Keighley, Ilkley, and Skipton.
The warning is operational from 7am today to 12 noon and snow is already falling in some parts of the district.
"Storm Bert will bring a spell of heavy snow on Saturday morning, leading to some disruption," says the Met Office.
It adds: "Heavy snow will spread northeastwards on Saturday morning giving significant accumulations, especially on hills.
"Temporary accumulations of 5-10 cm are possible in the Vale of York, with 10-20 cm on ground typically above 200m, and potentially as much as 20-30 cm on hills above 400m.

"Snow will eventually change to rain in all areas by Saturday afternoon, but may be preceded by a short spell of freezing rain in places adding to the ice risk.
"Strengthening winds will lead to drifting of lying snow, with difficult travelling conditions likely on higher level routes, and the risk of interruptions to power supplies.
"A fairly rapid thaw of lying snow is then likely later on Saturday and overnight as milder air moves in."
The yellow warning began at 4am today and is in place until 9am tomorrow.
"Heavy snow on Saturday, followed by a rapid thaw and subsequent rain on Saturday night, may cause some disruption," it says.
